Privacy Policy
Soult does not collect data for its own use — it exists only as a secure vault for you to store and pass on your information.
Everything inside your Soult vault is put there by you. We do not read it, analyse it, share it, or use it in any way. Think of Soult as a secure, private digital safe. We provide the safe. What you put inside it belongs entirely to you.
What Soult Is
Soult is a secure digital vault. It is a tool — not a service that stores your data for its own benefit.
You use Soult to organise the things that matter most to your family: financial records, important documents, personal memories, and the people you trust. Soult provides the structure and the security. Everything inside is yours.
Soult does not access, read, analyse, or interpret any content you store in your vault. We do not know what you have stored. We are not in a position to — and that is by design.
This Privacy Policy applies to the Soult mobile application on Android and iOS. The website www.soultdigital.com is informational only and does not have a web-based vault or account access.
What You Store in Your Vault
Everything in your vault is placed there by you. We do not add, enrich, or pull in data from any external source. The table below lists what types of information you may choose to add, and what each is used for at a technical level to make the App work.
| Type of Information | What this includes | Why it is needed |
|---|---|---|
| Account identifiers | Name, phone number, email address | Required to create and access your account and to reach you for support |
| Authentication data | MPIN, biometric references (stored on-device only), security settings | Securing your vault and authenticating sensitive in-app actions |
| Financial and asset records | Asset details, account references, policy notes, and any financial information you choose to add | Core vault functionality — storing and organising your financial records for your family |
| Documents you upload | Wills, insurance documents, property records, identity documents, and any files you choose to store | Secure document storage and access within your vault |
| Personal memories and messages | Notes, photos, voice recordings, video messages, written letters | Preserving your personal legacy for loved ones |
| Relationship and access data | Nominee and executor names and contacts, trusted people you designate | Enabling the executor flow — so the right person can access your vault when needed |
| Security and access logs | Login events, access timestamps, device type, IP address | Maintaining your audit trail, preventing unauthorised access, and system reliability |
All fields except your name, phone number, and email are optional. All information is self-declared by you. Soult does not verify, validate, or enrich any of it. It is stored exactly as you provide it.
Users may store information about their family members, including minor children, inside their vault — for example, nominee details or personal messages addressed to children. This is entirely user-generated content under your own control and responsibility. Soult does not access or process this content.
How Your Vault Is Protected
Security is not a feature — it is the foundation of what Soult is. Your vault is protected by multiple independent layers.
- AES-256 encryption at rest — your data is encrypted on our servers using the same standard that protects banking and government systems
- TLS encryption in transit — all data moving between your device and our servers is encrypted end-to-end
- MPIN and biometric access — only you can unlock your vault; biometric data never leaves your device
- Role-based access controls — internal access to infrastructure is strictly limited, audited, and logged
- Full audit trail — every access event and change is time-stamped and recorded so you always know what happened and when
We are building toward a zero-knowledge architecture — where even Soult's own infrastructure cannot access the contents of your vault. This is on our committed technical roadmap. In the meantime, AES-256 encryption and strict access controls form the protection layer.

- Compliance with Indian law — including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
- Legitimate interests — limited to security monitoring, fraud prevention, and ensuring the reliability of the App. This does not extend to access or use of your vault content.
Data Storage and Location
All data is stored on AWS infrastructure in the Mumbai (ap-south-1) region, in India. Your data does not leave India. This is compliant with Indian data localisation requirements under the DPDP Act, 2023.
No data is stored on foreign servers. No data is processed outside India.
Data Retention
- Your data is held for as long as your account remains active
- When you delete your account, your data is deleted permanently and the process is irreversible
- A timer of 10 seconds is shown for you to rethink of deletion. You are strongly advised to take manual backup of the things in your vault.
- Certain security logs may be retained for a limited period as required by applicable law
You can edit or delete any information inside your vault at any time from within the App. Deletion is permanent once confirmed.
Sharing — What We Do Not Do
We want to be specific about this, not just general.
Soult does not:
- Access, read, analyse, or interpret the contents of your vault
- Share your data with advertisers, marketers, or data brokers
- Sell or monetise your personal information in any form
- Integrate with banks, insurance companies, government registries, or any third-party data systems
- Pull or verify data from any external source
- Use your content for AI training, profiling, or automated analysis
Your data may be accessed only in the following limited circumstances:
- By you — through your authenticated session
- By your designated nominees or executor — only when you have granted access and only under the conditions you define
- By our infrastructure providers — AWS provides the storage layer. They operate under strict data processing agreements and do not have access to your vault contents.
- When required by Indian law — in response to a lawful government order or court direction
Legal Guides and Templates
Soult provides users with document templates and help guides — such as Will templates, nominee designation guides, and emergency information formats. These are offered as self-help tools and informational resources only.
These guides and templates do not constitute legal advice.
Soult does not review, validate, interpret, or verify any information you enter into these templates. Documents created using Soult are entirely user-generated and under your full control. Soult has no visibility into what you write.
You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and legal validity of any documents you create. Laws governing Wills, nominations, powers of attorney, and related instruments vary by jurisdiction and change over time.
We strongly encourage you to consult a qualified legal professional before relying on any document created using Soult for legal purposes, particularly for Wills, property transfers, and medical directives.
Soult is an information layer — it provides structure and secure storage. It does not execute legal actions, file documents with authorities, notify banks, or take any action on your behalf. Any steps required to give legal effect to a document remain entirely with you and your advisors.

Children's Privacy
The Soult App is for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly allow anyone under 18 to create an account. If we become aware that a user is under 18, their account will be closed and their data deleted promptly.

This is user-generated content under your own responsibility. Soult does not access or process this content, and does not use it in any form.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are significant, we will notify you through the App before they take effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects when the policy was last updated.
